In case you haven’t been paying attention, my little Win 80’s Albums for Rhyming Poetry contest is about to end. Tomorrow.

Have you entered? No? REALLY?

C’mon: don’t let the boogers win.

Wake up, people! It’s true, this is too good to miss. Why the cassette version of TMBG’s Lincoln alone regularly sells for over $0.49 on e-bay, and that’s just one of the fabulous prizes available here for cranking out poetry, a process so easy that no more than 5% of would-be poets turn to alcohol, drugs, or suicide in utter frustration.

OK, so even it poetry is difficult and the prize paltry, I am compelled to point out that these are **albums**, not cassettes. Sure, they probably sell for the same price, but think of the potential for cover based art.

And, if you ask me, that 5% number is suspect. Why? It’s chicken and egg man. Does the poetry cause them to turn to drugs etc or the other way round? Maybe poetry is the problem.

OK I have to go get some coffee before my conference call.

So write a poem. Otherwise the boogers win. [Maybe.]
