Rufus Teague BBQ Sauce (Condimental / Whole Foods Explorer)

Rufus Teague BBQ Sauce, originally uploaded by ReidCarlberg.

The problem with the season finales being done: the only thing on TV is “Save The Last Dance“. It just moved from the dance scene where everyone in the club gives Julia some space and then she gets jealous and then she goes home with the guy and there’s a hip hop “True Colors” on the radio.

So you see I really had no choice but to rifle through the refrigerator for condiments I haven’t droned on about already.

Enter “Rufus Teague“.

If you’re like me, when you look at the label and read the story (these are hi-res — you can probably head over to flickr for a high res) you’ll probably think Oooh. How clever. Oh and even better you can buy a T-Shirt.

Oh — quick movie update — the cute dancer couple just split up. Apparently society isn’t ready for an black/white dancer combination. Such drama.

Where was I?

Oh yeah. But don’t let the schtick stand in your way. This is pretty good sauce. It’s another $6 item but a little goes a long way. I’ve had it just on chicken so far. Mmmm. Tasty. This particular one isn’t ridiculously thick and does not contain high fructose corn syrup (just corn syrup).

If the only sauce you really like is Sweet Baby’s, this is probably not for you. (Sweet Baby’s — the life enhancer. Or so the website says. Really? REALLY?)

Thumbs up on the Rufus Teague. Worth at least $5 of those $6.
